Midwich, the IT and AV distributor, says it is to become the first distributor to offer a lifetime swap out warranty on its projector products. The warranty will come free of charge with eight selected models, starting at just £449 trade for the 1500 ANSI lumens Toshiba S9, but it will also be available from just £49 on other models. Darren Lewitt, divisional director at Midwich, says: "We see this move as giving resellers the differential that they have been searching for. Many of the late comers in the market only offer a one or two year return to base warranty, so our resellers could only compete on price. Now, by offering our customers a lifetime swap out warranty, we can help them to win and retain new business from their competitors." In addition to the swap-out warranty initiative, Midwich is also offering an extended three year lamp warranty on selected Toshiba Projectors models, thus extending the normal 90 day period.
